Who’s in Your Head? - Cult Marketing
You know that urge you get while sitting on the sofa watching the TV, you know the one I mean, the one where you feel the need to get up immediately sell the wife and kids so that you can buy that shiny new car you didn’t know you always wanted?
OK…I am exaggerating a bit, well a lot actually but who cares. I found an interesting video today that touches on the topic of how advertisers and marketers are using emotional triggers and research into Cults to discover new ways of generating business.

This video offered so much food for thought and it is a shame that it cuts out so abruptly. If anyone knows what the full video is and where I can get could you please drop me an email.
I am going to look into this subject in much greater detail and see if I can find out anything more. I think the study of how cults work and attract people who want to belong to a community will be very interesting and throw up some very interesting results.
